“Education is the only way of development,” and “it can be proved a source of peaceful competition, and we strongly support the concept of establishing Bacha Khan International University of Social Sciences at Khost,” Asfandyar Wali Khan told to the Afghan Tribune during a lunch time break in Kabul.

Khost is one of the comparatively plain provinces of Afghanistan just located closely to Waziristan. Many people work for the government in order to make their nation strong and prosper. It is the most important strategic and trade zone area where it links to many parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Its conversion into a knowledge village can prove it a peaceful zone for the tribal areas.
Recently, the people of Khost asked the government to establish Bacha Khan International University of Social Sciences at Khost. They told to the Afghan Tribune, “We have a proper land for Bacha Khan International University of Social Sciences.” Mirzakli, one of the inhabitants of Khost province, talked to the Afghan Tribune, “I am very happy to learn about establishing Bacha Khan International University of Social Sciences and the willing of his grandson, Asfandyaar Wali assisting the plan of establishing a university.”
A senior member of Awami National Party, a writer and senator, representing the Kohat Division of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province for the Pakistan Senate has also inspired of the plan during condolence reference held in Kabul on Saturday in memory of veteran Pashtun nationalist Afzal Khan Lala & a mushaira in the evening. He offered his full support for establishing Bacha Khan International University of Social Sciences and he promised, he will also introduce a focal point for further discussion and planning.
The already established university of Khost provides education in natural sciences, but now the people are asking to establish a university in social science, too. The establishment of an international university at Khost will help the people to get the education at home and facilitate the population of the tribal zone.
This project needs a special attention and support of all stakeholders working for peace, stability and education in Afghanistan.
