“Unfortunately, tension is increasing every day. As of now, the number of missing persons stands at 35,000 and dead bodies at 8,000. No matter what, but I am optimistic”, said Mama Qadeer. “We approached the European Union, which comprises around 20 countries and we briefed them about our struggle and long march. The representatives have shown their enthusiasm”, he added. A question has been raised from one of the corners of the room about the role of the media towards his peaceful struggle. He said that: “The media is not playing the role in the way it should have done. However, Hamed Meer, one of the brave journalists supported us a lot.”
“I have been offered big position in the government, I refused. I have been threatened with death, I ignored. I heard many immoral phrases and words; I erased them from my mind. I know that I have a clear vision and peaceful process”, said the 73-year-old man.
