Oprah Lies Again

Oprah Lies Again

Oprah Winfrey strutted onto The View this week to peddle her latest book and drop one of the most ridiculous lines ever uttered by a billionaire media mogul. "You don’t overeat and become obese," she declared. "Obesity causes you to overeat." Yeah, right. The woman who spent decades yo-yo dieting, hauling wagons of fat on national TV, and making a fortune off fat-shaming herself and others now claims it's all just an "obesity gene" pulling the strings. Not her fault. Not her choices. Just bad biology and "food noise" in her head that forced her to shovel in the calories.

This is peak liberal excuse-making from the queen of daytime therapy sessions. For years, Oprah built an empire on personal responsibility, empowerment, and pulling yourself up by your bootstraps. She lectured America about willpower, discipline, and overcoming obstacles. Now, after finally slimming down with expensive weekly GLP-1 injections (the kind she admits she can't quit without packing the pounds right back on), she flips the script entirely.

To claim that overeating does not cause obesity, but rather that obesity causes overeating, is to invert reality. It is akin to arguing that one does not become intoxicated by drinking, but that drinking is a consequence of already being an alcoholic. This line of reasoning serves only to remove personal accountability and promote the latest pharmaceutical solutions.

She even whined about the "shame and blame" she felt for decades, as if the public ridicule wasn't partly self-inflicted by her endless on-air weight confessions and dramatic reveals. Remember the infamous wagon of fat she dragged out? That was her choice to exploit for ratings. Now she's rewriting history to say none of it was her doing. It was the gene. The noise. The disease. Anything but her own fork and lack of self-control back when she was piling on the pounds.

Oprah says it's "not her fault" that she was overweight.

This is the same Oprah who has long aligned herself with the cultural elite and promoted the idea that personal responsibility can be set aside in favor of victimhood. The foundation of this country was built on accountability and self-discipline, not on excuses or reliance on pharmaceutical interventions. If obesity is simply a "chronic relapsing disease" that compels overeating, not your fault, not your responsibility - then the value of discipline, exercise, and moderation is dismissed entirely. That's completely twisted and unrealistic.

Oprah's latest grift is selling surrender as science while she cashes checks from Big Pharma and her book tour. She's not freeing anyone. She's just giving lazy excuses a celebrity endorsement. Real Americans get up, own their choices, and fix their problems without whining about genes or food noise. Oprah can keep her pretzel logic and her injections.

We'll stick to common sense: eat less, move more, take responsibility. No magic pill required.
